First Five Strategy: Flip the Prompt
Sometimes the simplest change can create a whole new conversation.
If your students have already seen today’s Quick Connect or you just want to keep things fresh, try flipping the prompt.
Take the original question and turn it on its head:
“One has to go” becomes “Which one stays?”
“Favorite” becomes “least favorite”
Turn it into a ranking instead of a single choice
That small shift gives students a new way to think, respond, and engage, without needing a brand new activity.
It keeps the conversation going.
It adds variety.
And it gives students a chance to see things from a different perspective.
