Educator Corner
Edtomorrow Battle of the Books March Madness Tournament

🎢 It’s the most wonderful time of the year… 🎢

(Cue your inner Andy Williams voice and the jingle playing in your head.)

But no… we’re not talking about Christmas.

We’re talking about the Edtomorrow March Madness Bracket Extravaganza!

Each year we run a March Madness-style tournament inside the First Five, and this year we let YOU decide the theme.

And wow… you all spoke loud and proud.

Welcome to…

πŸ“š Battle of the Books

This year’s tournament will determine the greatest children’s book of all time, and educators and classrooms across the country will help decide the winner.

Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Fill Out Your Bracket
Educators can submit their tournament bracket predicting which book will win each matchup.

πŸ—“ Bracket submissions are open March 11–12.

A quick reminder:
Only educators can submit brackets, so make sure it's you filling it out and not your students.

πŸ† Grand Prize:
The winning bracket will receive 1 year of Ad-Free First Five Plus, and we’ll also be giving prizes to the Top 50 brackets.

Step 2: Voting Begins March 13
Once the tournament starts, educators and classrooms across the country will vote on each matchup to determine which books advance.

This is where the fun really begins.

Your students can help vote each day as books battle head-to-head through the bracket.

Step 3: Track the Results
Follow along to see:

  • Which books advance

  • Which predictions are still alive

  • Where your bracket ranks on the leaderboard

Even if you miss the bracket entry window, you and your students can still vote in every round and help decide which book becomes the Battle of the Books Champion.

Why We Love This Tournament
It’s one of our favorite traditions because it brings:

  • Friendly classroom competition

  • Great book conversations

  • Daily student engagement

  • And a little bit of March Madness chaos

So the big question is…

Will a powerhouse #1 seed like Harry Potter dominate the bracket?

Or will a heroic underdog shock the world and give us a March Cinderella story to remember?

We’re about to find out.

πŸ“š Welcome to Battle of the Books. Let the madness begin.
